Capital B, a company listed on Euronext Growth and recognized as Europe’s inaugural bitcoin treasury firm, has successfully raised €21 million (approximately $24 million) through a private placement. The investment is supported by Blockstream’s Adam Back and the asset management firm TOBAM. This capital is earmarked for the potential acquisition of an additional 270 bitcoins, boosting the firm’s total holdings to approximately 3,415 BTC.

On Friday, the company announced the sale of 36,219,070 shares at €0.58 each, which reflects a 6.45% discount relative to the closing price recorded on the preceding Wednesday.

Capital B anticipates that net proceeds, after accounting for fees and transaction costs, will total approximately €19.9 million.

According to Bitcoin Treasuries, Capital B ranks as the 27th largest publicly traded bitcoin treasury globally, currently holding 3,145 bitcoins valued at $245 million based on the prevailing bitcoin price of $77,960.

Capital B, which claims the title of Europe’s first bitcoin treasury, has substantially built its portfolio through various fundraising initiatives during the first half of 2026.

In May, the firm acquired 192 bitcoins for €13 million following the conclusion of three capital raise rounds.

This announcement from Capital B coincides with a broader trend among other treasuries, as they seek to secure financing and expand their bitcoin acquisitions. Notably, this week, Genius Group, an NYSE-listed AI-driven education company, disclosed its intent to establish parallel AI and bitcoin treasuries with a combined goal of $1.6 billion, following the liquidation of its entire bitcoin reserves to settle $8.5 million in debt.

Bitcoin treasuries have encountered challenges since 2025, when the value of the leading cryptocurrency faced significant declines. Several enterprises within this sector have been compelled to liquidate their holdings, including notable corporate holders like Nasdaq-listed Strategy.
